Today is SysAdmin Day
Today, July 27th, marks the 8th annual international System Administrator Day.
Everyone, make sure you give all sysadmins everywhere a big hug and a cuddle and maybe some cake.

I hope one day to recieve hugs and cake not related to my aging.
I thank my campuses sys admins a lot. They are trying to get a really over complicated and poor put together (thanks to some of the older staff who are now gone, methinks) system to keep running for hundreds of people and support a very wide range of apps, and they do quite well at it. And theyve even managed to get it more stable while adding more option to it (such as a secure campus wide wireless network for use to leech all their bandwidth through). They are rock, and if I knew my baking wouldn’t kill them they would recieve cake a plenty.
Also, Nick is awesome, but he doesnt deal with my tech problems (any more :) ) so I see no reason to hug him this time round.
